I've been slacking on my posting lately and I saw this and I knew I had to get back on my grind. Matt Scully is one of my old friends back from my high school summer days in the OS. I don't know how he did it but he managed to make a surprisingly catchy song with some REAL lyrics. This rapper from Cleveland has been creating buzz in the Hip-Hop industry. As of late, he's been signed to P-Diddy's label "Bad Boy Records". His mixtape "Lace Up" has been creating lots of talk on Datpiff.com. His delivery is normally at a blistering pace, but MGK can slow it down for a few tracks and spit fire. This rapper should definitely have your attention because, he's climbing up extremely fast and will be a force to be reckoned with. Check him out on BET's "Cypher" as well as his mixtapes.

Some Hope For Old-School

Rap has become more glamorous since the days of N.W.A and Wu-Tang clan. Now-a-days anyone with money and a cool beat is destined for a hit. Old-school rap is coming back through the underground. What do I mean by this? BET is hosting "the cypher" which is an all-out freestyle over simple beats, and nothing is off-limits. It's the best way to show your stuff and throw some punches at other rappers. And no....these aren't no-name rappers. Names like: Kanye West, Eminem, Yelawolf, Big Sean, Mos Def and Jay-Z (just to name a few) are all throwing down at the cypher. Check it out:

Adele vs. Skrillex

Brenton Duvall- Phone Rings Goodbye

My posting has been weak as of lately, being in the middle of exams has made it difficult, so I'd like to apologize. But I'm going to make it up to you all by giving you this little gem. This is the first time TCSwag has had a repeat artist, so Brenton Duvall deserves so credit. This is a real chill song, not much going on with it, but I've found it to be perfect study music. The flow of the song somehow conveys a story with giving you so little lyrics. It's really grown on me, see what you think of "Phone Rings Goodbye".

Silver Medallion- All I Ask

I have a dope song for you all, came across it today on GoodMusicAllDay and I knew I had to post about it right away. From the beginning of the track you know it's going to be good. Silver Medallion did everything right in this song, including having Shwayze featured in it. Changes to TCSwag

So I'm real excited about some of the upcoming changes to TCSwag. The blog has only been opened for 2 weeks and is already approaching 2,000 viewers. Thank you to everyone who has been following my posting as the site has just been starting up. Lately, I've found it difficult to keep up with my posting everyday so I've asked one of my friends to the second author of TCSwag. Who will it be? You'll have to wait and find out, but you won't be disappointed. All I can tell you is that there will be a lot more music and ever more non-music related posts. So this song is better than any medication out there if you just want to chill out. I just finished listening to it for like the 4th time today and it's still doing it to me. I know I missed posting yesterday, its just college life has just gotten into full swing. But today I am giving you a great song to make up for it.
