Ex Girlfriend

No, I'm not going to be posting about my ex girlfriend, but instead it'll be about Rich Young's "Ex Girlfriend". I came across this song today on GoodMusicAllDay, and I have to say I'm more than impressed. It's got a great acoustic feel to it, and great lyrics. It's hard to think that Rich Young does it all by himself. If you're looking for a songs to add to your 'chill' playlist this is perfect for you. Check it out.

Pumped Up Kicks (Remix)

So today I realized I have really been slacking on my dubstep posts on TCSwag. I love dubstep, so I really can't be letting that happen. I came across a remix to "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People, and I had to get on this post. The original song has been all over the radio as of lately, so it's about time Butch Clancy came along and gave us some dubstep. The video that I'm going to post is one that has been getting huge hits lately. It's not the original, but I think everyone has always wondered how to get down to dub for real. This guy does his thing, check out Pumped Up Kicks dubstep style.

Bored in Class?

So I think I may have found a solution for the age old problem of being bored during class. But if you're not a avid bingo player, this might not be for you. The only problem is, you may be able to fill the board up completely within the first 10 minutes of lecture. Just check off a square when you witness one of the actions taking place right in front of you. It made me a little more aware of what was actually going on around me, which made communications much more enjoyable. It's pretty funny, give it a try.

Notorious B.I.G. & Miley Cyrus

So it feels as though this song has been around forever, so I'm sorry if you guys have already heard it. But I was at lunch today talking to a friend about a mashup I posted a couple of days ago, Wiz & Taylor.  And I had I said "yeah but it's not as good as the B.I.G. and Miley mashup" and they had no idea what I was talking about. So I said I would post about it and I have to say this mashup really is worthy of a post anyway. Notorious B.I.G. & Miley Cyrus make this song one of my all time favorites. So if this track is new to you, check it out.

Brendan Duell- Alone on Stage

So it's time to see a new side of TCSwag, and as the high school DJs would say, 'it's time to slow it down a bit.' Lately I've been looking for some real chill music that you can just relax and relate to. And I think I found in Brendan Duell's "Alone on Stage". It's real catchy for some reason in a weird way, and I've found myself listening to it multiple times a day. It's a little different in the best way possible, see if you agree.

Wiz & T-Swift

Now this song has been out for a while, but I'm going to guess a lot of people viewing my blog probably haven't heard about it. Now I have a confession, any song with Taylor Swift featured in it wins me over, and I'm not afraid to admit it. So when you add Wiz to the picture too, I can't express my excitement. We have Brenton Duvall to thank for this mashup. If you haven't heard of this guy before he also came out with That's All (ft. Gucci Mane), which got popular real quick. The name of the song is Mean Planes and Taylor Gang, combining Mean and This Plane. This isn't the original video but it's the best version I could find. Take a listen.

Pmac- Second Chances (Video)

This song was released a while ago on Pmac's first mixtape, First Impression, but the video for it was just released. This gave me the perfect opportunity to be able to post about it on TCSwag. The video starts off a little slow, and is pretty plain throughout the whole song. To be honest, it's nothing special, but who really needs a great video when you have such a clutch song backing it. In closing, Second Chances is a real chill song with rap and vocals that I've always had a soft spot for. See what you think.

Six Girls You Date in College

I was on CollegeHumor today and I found myself watching this video. I couldn't stop watching it because it's so true that it's hilarious. It basically encompasses every type of girl I've run into so far on my college campus. Now ladies, I'm not saying you have to be one of these, but chances are you probably fall under at least one of the categories. I don't really have to say much more, take a look.

Six Categories: Athletic Girl, Party Girl, Church Girl, Dumb/Hot Girl, Just Friends Girl, and who can forget Perfect Girl.

Skrillex- Bangarang

I'm a big fan of Dubstep, and at the center of the movement is Skrillex. So when I hear of a new Skrillex song is out, I have to go and check it out. This undeniably one of his songs, its got that same flow that all of his songs do with the big drops and great vocals. I'm a big fan of "Bangarang", see if you are too.

Extreme Skipping

A new movement is upon us, will you join in? Extreme skipping has to be one of the most hardcore extreme sports I've come across in my college days. "It's about rebellion, freedom of expression, style, music, you play by your own rules, its like chaos". But in all seriousness, I find this video to be hilarious. And the best part is, this actually comes from a real website where people submit their "extreme skipping", I'll post the link below. So don't skip this post, take a look.

Take Me Back- Moosh & Twist

Found this song on the top videos from GoodMusicAllDay from August 7-13. I wish I didn't miss the initial post on "Take Me Back" because it's another one of those chill songs that I have a soft spot for. This is yet again another two names that have been unknown to me until today. Moosh & Twist do it to me though with this track. Take a listen, it's a song that I think we all can relate to.

Don't Be "That Guy"

If you're in college, you know what it means when someone tells you don't be "That Guy" when you're at a party getting a little to sloppy. If you don't know what it means, then you probably heard something along the lines of don't be "That Girl". Well here's some of those people who were "That Guy/Girl",  so you can laugh about it.

iPhonic- The Afterparty

This is my first time hearing about iPhonic. After all the reading I did on their page, all I really got out of it was these guys like to party. They're mission is to to bring “sex, drugs, rock n roll” back to the masses. So you already know these guys are going to release some good stuff. They're new mixtape is going to be called "Rock N Roll Vol 1". I'll be posting it on TCSwag when it's released in November so be sure to check back. In the mean time, check out "The Afterparty", I can already tell you guys are going to love it.  (The song starts around 0:41)

If you want to check out their site, here's the link: iPhonic

Mac Miller- Smile Back

So I've been waiting all night for this to be released, and I couldn't be happier. I don't think anyone is disappointed with this release. All I need to say is, all the hype was worth it. This song will be released on Mac's new album "Blue Slide Park".  So check it out, "Smile Back".

Asher Roth & Akon- Last Man Standing

Its been a while since I've heard anything about Asher Roth. My friend Nick informed me that he released a new song with Akon, so why not check it out? And I have to say I'm really vibing this track, especially Akon's parts. A little different from Asher Roth's most famous song "I Love College", but "Last Man Standing" is definitely doing Asher justice. See what you think.

Na Palm- Two Days Stright (Video)

There wasn't a time second semester of freshmen year when I wouldn't go into my dorm room and hear my roommate bumping this song. Did it get old? Maybe a little. For the majority of people though, this song doesn't get old if you just want to bump. Well Na Palm just released the video for "Two Days Straight". And yes, you guessed it, there's a lot of partying.

High School Memories

I wasn't the type to be seen in detention a lot in high school. I did receive a few memorable slips, but nothing quite like this. Not matter who you are, you can always appreciate the phrase "come at me bro", especially if it's on a official  document. This is probably one of the best detention slips I've seen. For many of us, we would take pride in being able to posses this.

As Tosh.O said "Hey, at least kids at the Jersey shore are finally in school getting an education."
And I couldn't have put it better myself.

Human Slingshot Slip and Slide

So when I saw this video I knew I was gonna have to post about it. I know a lot of you guys, and maybe ladies, are gonna appreciate it. I mean who wouldn't want to do something like this? It sounds like something you would see on Jackass but these guys got it right, at least it seems that way from the footage they included. The video is pretty self explanatory so I don't really have to say a lot. It's got me thinking though, Summer 2012 anyone?

Radical Something

So this is kind of a new group for me, I came across them on Good Music All Day a few weeks ago. Radical Something just released their first album, We Are Nothing,  and I've listened to most of the songs on it. And  I have to say I'm loving it so far. Finally some chill rap in an alternative song, the perfect combination and is my music of choice. The group just released the album so you can download it for free or you can choose to buy it through iTunes to support them. I'm real stoked about finding these guys, and I look forward to keeping tabs on them.  Here's the track "Be Easy" from their new album, take a listen.

Beat Box- Eklipse

So I know this video has been out on Youtube for a little while now, so I might be a little late jumping on this wagon. But I just Stumbled Upon it today, and its dope. So to those of you who has already seen it, that's great for you. Just playin, for those people who have already seen it here some stuff you might not know. This guy goes by the name of Eklipse, he's a french beat boxer who is now considered by some to be the best in the world. After listening to this, I'm certainly not going to argue that. His beat just flows and he makes it sound effortless as he goes through he history of Hip-Hop. That's just all about that really needs to be said, so see what you think.

Willie Dynamite

As everyone knows Mac Miller has gotten huge within the last year. Almost everyone knows at least one song from his mixtape Best Day Ever, and lets be real its probably either "Oye Vey"  or "Donald Trump". For those of you who don't know, Mac Miller releases a new track every 100k followers on twitter. And this song, Willie Dynamite, is in recognition of him reaching 900k. This track definitely has a lot more rapping and less of a heavy background track that we are used to with Mac. I'm feeling it, what about you?

If you aren't following Mac already on twitter, here the link so we can get that 1 millionth release.

Win A Baby!

This is my first non-music post and I think I'm gonna do it justice. I came across this when searching the web, and I have to say it's pretty unbelievable. A radio station (Hot 89.9) is actually giving away a baby, the rules are simple, you just fill out a form and it will be a random drawing of the winner. To put it in simple turns, it's basically like winning a car at a carnival. I mean yeah, some of you are probably like "wow that's awesome!", but imagine in like 14 years when you have to tell the kid you won them, just like you won this teddy bear you gave to them. Awkward.
If you still don't believe me, here's the website: Hot 89.9
I'm still shaking my head after this one.

New Soul+99 Problems Mashup

Alight, so here a song I've been waiting to post about for a while. I found it on GoodMusicAllDay about a week ago and I was blown away. Turns out a pair of 13 year-olds got together a put this mashup together, they call themselves The Newcomers. If I could do this when I was 13, I certainly would not just be blogging about music. They took "New Soul" by Yael Naim and Jay-Z's "99 Problems" and put it together. I know there's quite a few Yael Naim mashups out there but this is one of the better. See what you think.

Start of a New Blog

 What's this about?

I'm real excited about this being my first blog. Primarily this will contain a lot of music, but is definitely not limited to that as you will see real soon in the future. The music that will be posted is going to make it easy to find new stuff that you won't be hearing on the radio. Other things that will be included will be things such as online videos, events, and basically anything else you can think of.

Reason for starting it?

You know there's is a lot of sites out there were you can find music or videos, but it's not easy for sure. So I thought I should do something on my own to add my own taste to the web. And I promise I will be bringing my followers some good stuff. I am always opened to suggestions or if you find something yourself let me know about it, and it might be post worthy.

I'm going to keep all my post real short, no one likes reading. So this is the end of my first one.

Here's some new Dubstep to go out on. This is one of my favorite Dubstep beats right now, great flow, and big drops. Lights by Klaypex
